Rustic Antique Stripped Oak Trestle Table ~ Dining Table will make the perfect choice for casual dining, a breakfast nook, or as a sturdy table for any other purpose!  Hand-crafted from dense, old-growth quarter-sawn oak, it features two inch thick planks serving as the top, so sturdy that a supporting apron is not needed in the design.  Criss-cross legs with a modicum of styling serve as the supports on each end, recessed far enough form the edge such that one can sit at the end of the table if so desired.  The supports are fastened securely to the underside of the plank top then reinforced with a full width trestle affixed with a shimmed full mortise joint and raised far enough off the floor thanks to its positioning at the juncture of the "X" shaped supports, that knee and foot room are both maximized.  The stripped oak provides a pleasing visual and textural appeal, ideal for today's more casual and relaxed decors.
