Rustic Country French Trestle Table in Stripped Oak carries on the traditions dating back for centuries in northern Europe!  Utilizing dense, old-growth white oak, the artisans selected thick planks, as substantial as beams, to create the entire table.  The planks that comprise the top rest upon a framework that is supported by two bell-shaped uprights, each in turn mounted to flared, extended feet with a scrolled shape for extra stability.  In a feat of over-engineering, a beam was installed as a trestle, then shimmed into place through mortises in the uprights to ensure this table will survive for centuries to come!
