Vintage Rustic Trestle Table in Stripped Oak is a splendid example of traditional craftsmanship handed down from generation to generation!  Utilizing dense, solid planks of white oak, the artisans fashioned the plank top that is so sturdy it does not require an apron, providing more knee room than most antique or vintage tables.  Support is provided by two structures that are fitted to flared cross pieces above, anchored to the top, and below, spread to provide more stability yet still retain maximum foot and leg room.  The supports are then connected by a fully mortised trestle that is held in place, and kept tight by, angled shims on both sides.  The shims can be tapped down periodically to keep the table tight for decade after decade.  This instant family heirloom will continue to bring smiles in your home for generations!
