19th Century French Solid Pine with Wrought Iron Entry Door was hand-built using time-honored traditional craftsmanship for a home that was designed to last for centuries!  The old growth pine has a dense grain and is much harder than pine with which we Americans are familiar.  Using pegged mortise & tenon joinery, the frame was solidly constructed, then fitted with paneled decoration below, and wrought iron inserts above, with separate hinged glass panes that open to allow easy cleaning, yet close to maintain interior temperatures.  The wrought iron is an intriguing design, with intricate scrollwork and a single flower on top that projects outwards.  A mail slot is also cut at the center, with an integral handle all in solid bronze.  Ready to provide a secure entry for its next classic and timeless home!
