Pair 19th Century French Louis XVI Neoclassical Bronze Andirons will make an exceptional finishing touch to your hearth!  Cast in solid bronze, each features a variety of classical motifs that remain truly timeless after three millennia.  Most prominent is the egg finials set upon a lotus blossom atop each corner.  The body of the andirons in between each finial is an architectural study with projecting corner pediments adorned with rosettes, acanthus leaves and vines with berries, finished off with beaded trim and fabric swags.  Each is mounted to a solid wrought iron log support.  Many of our customers over the years have had the iron shortened so the andirons could serve as handsome bookends elsewhere in the home.
Circa 1880s
Each measures 10H x 11.5W x 19D
