19th Century French Louis Philippe Giltwood Mirror is an amazingly well-preserved example of the genre, with restrained, tailored neoclassical lines accentuated by subtle intaglio engraving of foliate patterns around the entire perimeter, with the mirror itself framed by a beaded molding.  Such mirrors remain in vogue because of their ability to work with just about any decor or interior style.  The original gold finish is in surprisingly good condition after a century and a half, and will make a good choice to hang, or to place over a fireplace or center on a console or buffet.  The generously sized mirror will provide a lovely reflection of the rest of your room.  Note the original backing which protects the silver coating decade after decade.
