19th Century French Louis XV Painted & Gilded Mirror is the perfect size for a cozy niche, hallway or a powder room!  Hand-crafted by talented artisans, it features a pine frame with hand-carved sycamore embellishments which include a prominent Rococo foliate form on the top, with foliates gracing each top corner on the sides, as well as in smaller scale at the bottom.  The gold has achieved a lovely patina over the decades.  The main framework was faux painted to resemble malachite, and presents a subtle three dimensional effect especially combined with the gold accents at each corner.  The original backing survives, protecting the silvering on the glass.
