19th Century French Louis XVI Giltwood Oval Mirror

19th Century French Louis XVI Giltwood Oval Mirror is a spectacular find, indeed!  Completely encircling the oval mirror is a generously sized and proportioned frame, with intricate patterns in abundance equally distributed around the entire perimeter.  This means the mirror can be mounted with either a vertical or horizontal orientation!  The design includes an intriguing variation on the French spiral ribbon motif utilizing a rope design, with a beaded necklace trim around the outside edge, and an elaborate scrolled foliate embossing on the inside, separated by dot and dash trim.  The mirror is lastly surrounded by more traditional molding which, with the combination of the other elements, creates a unique visual appeal that is perfect for providing an accent to your decor while simultaneously reflecting ambient light back into the room!
