19th Century French Louis XVI Painted Mirror

19th Century French Louis XVI Painted Mirror is a magnificent example of the French interpretation of the classical style!  Tailored beaded molding completely surrounds the mirror, with an egg & dart trim on the outside of the frame on three sides.  The sculpted ornamentation on the crown steals the show, with a laurel wreath intertwined with the torchere and carquois de fleche symbols, atop which appear a pair of lovebirds.  Floral sprays emanate from the center, with flowing ribbon providing a splendid accent.  The entire framework is finished in a lovely aged painted finish that is ideal for today's more casual decors.
