Antique Italian Giltwood Neoclassical ~ Louis XIV Dressing Mirror combines understated elegance in architecture with a bold Baroque-inspired crown lording over the expanse of beveled mirror for a spectacular combination!  The crown embellishment is mounted on the front of the tailored molding of the frame and leans outward, in order to lay the mirror atop the crown molding in the room if so desired.  Also suitable as a floor mirror, it is tall enough to provide a full height reflection for dressing or for just reflecting the loveliness of the remainder of the room.  The carved motifs include a bold shell surrounding an egg, with acanthus flourishes above and below, all situated on a louvered plaque and extending the full width of the mirror's framework.  Silvering is original and remains in very good condition, in part thanks to the full coverage wood protecting the back side, fitted with hanging wire and ready to install in your home!
