Antique Italian Rococo Giltwood Mirror

Antique Italian Rococo Giltwood Mirror was sculpted in a stylized expression of the style, with various shell forms creating the framework completely surrounding the intricately contoured and hand-beveled mirror.  The naturalistic form of the style has been celebrated for centuries, and the French & Italian artisans who first developed it remain the masters of the genre.  Backing was replaced at some point in its history to maintain protection of the silvering.
