19th Century French Louis Philippe Period Giltwood Mirror represents the essence of the age, when tailored architecture melded with opulent yet restrained elegance to produce a style that has remained popular for nearly two centuries and counting!  The entire framework consists of a triple-tiered molding detail that surrounds the final layer of beaded molding which envelopes the actual mirror itself.  The mirror is protected by wooden planks on the back side, a traditional method for safekeeping the silvering.  The upper shoulders are rounded and no carvings grace the design, making it fluid enough to blend with an enormous variety of different tastes and styles, hence its undying popularity over the ages.  The generously sized mirror will not only amplify ambient light, it will provide a lovely reflection of the rest of your room.
