19th Century French Napoleon III Period Gilded Mirror represents the regal style that was born during the reign of France's last monarch, a period during which all the styles in French history were revived.  This particular beauty features the overall frame shape of the preceding Louis Philippe period, but with extra ornamentation on the crown that is truly striking.  An heraldic crest takes center stage, surrounded by foliates in a variety of designs, cascading outwards towards the gracefully rounded shoulders.  Beaded trim surrounds the generously sized mirror itself.  The gold finish has achieved a lovely patina over the decades, as well!
