Antique French Louis XIV Carved Wood Mirror is a superlative example of the wood sculptor's art!  Using both classical and baroque inspirations for his work, the artist meticulously sculpted a framework that is truly amazing from the crown to the base.  The carvings are three dimensional, piercing through the wood to create depth and allow the wall background to merge with the design.  Intricate foliates, stylized shells and flowers are the themes, all in a curvaceous, even sensuous form surrounding the French-beveled mirror.  Ideal for cozy niches, powder rooms or the bath, it will be an easy task to find a special place for such a prized find!
