This monumental hand-painted 19th century French Beaux-Arts trumeau, discovered in a chateau in northern France, is an exceptional decorative statement of impressive scale and presence. The painted panel is set within a romantic chateau garden, centered on a classical urn before a carved stone pediment, with climbing roses draping and winding through the composition. Two parrots animate the scene, one resting and one in flight, creating a remarkable sense of movement and depth that gives the painting unusual life.
