Wolff lower right, the composition draws the eye down a softly rendered forest road where a solitary figure walks beneath towering trees, lending a subtle narrative quality to the scene.  The painter demonstrates confident handling of light and shadow, with a luminous opening of blue sky contrasting against the rich, earthy greens and browns of the forest interior.
