19th Century Framed Oil Painting on Canvas is an astonishing expression of color inspired by autumn in the Ardennes where the ancient old-growth forests have been the site of some of history's most impactful turning points.  This work which intriguingly remains unsigned, was obviously influenced by the French impressionists, yet the work exudes an undeniable realism played out in the depth of perspective, shadows, and use of color.  Vertical landscapes are not nearly as common, making this an ideal choice for some walls that cannot easily accommodate a wide format.  The work is wonderfully well preserved and resides in its original frame which itself is an impressive artistic work in giltwood.
