19th Century Framed Oil Painting on Canvas by Alfred Bastin (1849-1913) is a panoramic work revealing the incredible charms of a country village nestled in the rolling hills of northern France.  The billowing clouds that stretch across the top of the canvas provide nice contrast to the lush hillside below, with neatly kept properties mingled with the farmland plots.  A greenhouse, multiple residences and an intriguing chateau are all included, with a country road dividing the imagery into the greens of the meadow in the foreground from the entire remainder of the composition.  One of the cows in the foreground appears to notice the viewer for an intriguing touch.
