19th Century Framed Oil Painting on Canvas by L. Delderenne (1864-1921) is a captivating view of the Alps that provided the artist with inspiration to immortalize the scene.  The snowmelt from the peaks in the background creates the rocky creek that dominates the foreground, inviting the viewer into the scene to appreciate nature's glory.  Note how the artist has created a subtle transition between the snow-capped mountains and the wispy clouds blending up into a beautiful blue sky.  One can sense the motion of the water around the rocks, and almost hear the babbling of the creek.  The vertical nature of the landscape painting makes it somewhat unusual, especially when combined with such an artistic rendering in cool colors and earth tones.
