Antique Framed Oil Painting on Canvas by Jan Guerts is a splendid portrayal of rural life from a bygone era.  A flock of sedate sheep are retiring for the evening in the barn, led by their trusted shepherd, but overseen by the watchful sheepdog.  The thatch-roofed barn is set in an idyllic countryside with rolling hills in the background and trees with other vegetation creating the setting, while the rustic structure exudes a pastoral aura for a peaceful presentation.  Survives in its original finely detailed patinaed gold frame.
