Antique Framed Oil Painting on Canvas signed A. Heins is a wonderful depiction of a charming cottage in the woods, rendered with a deft brush on a soft, earth toned palette.  The colors used indicate it is a Spring morning, with shadows playing an intricate part of defining the scene.  Heins has chosen to emphasize the structure as it sets in the heavily wooded property with only a hint of the sky showing through the leafy canopy.  The work has changed hands many times, as indicated by the various art dealer markings on the back (including a wax seal), which only adds to its mystery and charm.  Recently professionally re-framed, and ready to brighten up your room!
