Framed 18th Century Oil Painting on Canvas is a marvelous depiction of life during the period, represented in a bustling little seaside village in northern Europe.  Fishing vessels about to set sail are seen at left, with the village's humble dwellings along the waterfront.  A church spire appears in the background, while in the foreground fishermen busy themselves while an angler tries his luck.  Remarkably well preserved for its 200+ year age, it is set in a frame that dates to well over a century old.
