Framed Oil Painting on Board by Christian Otte (1947-2005) is an intriguing work inspired by post-impressionism and designed to evoke a sense of awe in the majesty of Mother Nature.  Here Otte chose an intriguing color palette, with various shades of violet and ink blue merging into a subtle horizon with similar colors used to depict the earth at the bottom of the composition.  Designed on a square format, it survives in its original frame and mat, and is signed by the artist below right.
