Set of 3 Miniature Antique Bas-Relief Framed Paintings by Michel Genot (1914-1986) will make a delightful display on your wall, each depicting an intimate scene of splendid architectural vignettes captured by the artist in Paris during the height of his career.  Here he uses plaster to build up the surface creating an amazing three dimensional effect enhanced by the color palette which uses pastel tones yet still manages to provide a subtle contrast in the various nuances of each structure's design.  The two larger are more of a cityscape concept, while the smaller of the three is a detail of a particularly charming close up of the side of a magnificent cathedral, complete with a nun heading out into the city.  Of the larger works, one scene appears to depict the Russian embassy, another the back side of Notre Dame.  Each survives in its original frame.
