9.5H x 7.5W x 1D
Location: Dallas
Set of four 18th century Japanese hand-painted and colored figure studies on rice paper, each depicting a single figure in traditional dress with delicate line work and soft, beautifully aged color. The figures are rendered with wonderful simplicity and movement, capturing the elegance of gesture, costume, and expression in a refined miniature scale.
Each work is elegantly presented with a neutral mat and gilt frame, allowing the painted figures to remain the focus while giving the set a polished, decorative presence. Displayed together, the four create a graceful rhythm and quiet sense of history, perfect for adding an intimate, collected accent to a gallery wall, library, hallway, or powder room. A lovely set with wonderful age, refinement, and cultural artistry.
