Vintage Oil Painting on Canvas by Edouard Le Saout (1909-1981) appears to be a lovely home on the streets of Lyon, one of France's most charming cities.  Note the rolling hills of the cityscape in the background typical of the area that overlooks the confluence of the Rhône and Saône Rivers.  Here Le Saout has focused on a particularly charming corner with sidewalk steps leading down to the lower levels and a multi-story building with spire and multiple chimneys seemingly designed for that particular space that has been carved out by the surrounding roadways and environs.  A solitary street light stands guard.  Charming!
