Antique French Louis XIV Walnut Sofa is not just a place to sit ~ it's a work of art!  The elegant arbalette form of the seat back, so named because of its resemblance to an archer's bow, is adorned with banded wheat motif in its entirety, even around the elegantly contoured armrests all the way to the apron below, supporting a frame that envelopes one in comfort.  The apron is a work of art unto itself, with intertwined scrollwork, florals and rosettes appearing on the rounded sides and boldly contoured front, accentuated by the subtly scrolled legs carved with a vertical expression of the same design, and tipped with escargot feet.  The upholstery has worn out; this item is being sold as a framework for your upholsterer to work his magic using your coordinating fabric so that you can enjoy stylish, timeless comfort for decades to come!
