Antique French Louis XV Sofa Frame is styled in the graceful, naturalistic form of the genre, sculpted from dense, old-growth oak to create a lasting heirloom for your home.  The frame as pictured will require upholstery, as the original upholstery is no longer serviceable.  The bold triple arch of the seat back is crowned with a carved floral spray, with winged sides leading the eye down to padded armrests and finely scrolled arms, which in turn lead the eye to the undulating scrollwork of the apron.  Acanthus plume carvings adorn the armrest uprights, and flank shells appearing on the apron, with six scrolled legs tipped with cloven hoof feet providing support.  An added accent is the apron which is also double-bowed to create intriguing visual appeal from all angles.
