Antique Swedish Neoclassical Painted Sofa

Antique Swedish Neoclassical Painted Sofa represents the essence of the neoclassical revival, with stately, tailored rectilinear architecture on a comparatively large scale.  Spiral ribbon and fluting create the trim molding effect on the entire design, with a small rose bouquet appearing centered on the seat back crown.  The straight lines of the seat back turn 09 degrees into the armrests, which then slope down to the front of the piece with acanthus leaf adornment.  Where the apron meets the armrests appear rosettes, with tapered and fluted legs underneath, totaling 8 in all.  The fine fabric has been very well cared for, and is serviceable but easily replaced with your coordinating fabric.  Two matching bolsters are included!  The carved detail including the molding detail has been highlighted in a gold color to complement the patinaed ivory colored painted finish for a pleasing, soft and attractive visual presence.
