Vintage Italian Sterling Silver Sailing Ship in Glass Dome on Quartz Base was hand-crafted by Gioelli NRC out of Florence, and exhibits a wonderfully whimsical degree of fine artistry rendered in solid silver for a truly special decorative accent.  The filigree work on the hull is quire remarkable, and the exaggerated masts and sails depicted in stout breeze are quite striking.  Other details include a crow's nests on the main mast and a lantern on the boom of the gaff rigged mizzen.  Wired to a piece of rose-colored quartz, it survives with its original display platter and glass dome.
