Vintage Flemish Tapestry of Hunt Scene is a splendid rendition of art in fabric in which the Flemish peoples have excelled for many centuries!  A frequently used scene depicts an affluent hunting party on horseback, with amazing details such as two falconers, a dog handler, and even a lady dressed in finery along for the excitement.  The lush landscape envelopes the scene, with the distant background showing a chateau.  Although the scene depicts a sporting aspect, the fruits of the hunt were always used to feed the family and employees of the estate.  A broad spectrum of natural earth tones comprises the scene with so many hues they are impossible to count.  Even the border is an elaborate foliate theme and remains intact.  Ideal for hallways, stairwells, or anywhere an expanse of wall could use softening of texture and additional color for impact.  Such tapestries originally kept draughts off of cold stone walls, as well.  Looming machines were invented in the 19th century to produce them faster and more economically.
