Featuring a prominent portrait of a nobleman painted in oil on canvas at the top in the style of Peter Paul Rubens, this exceedingly well-preserved 19th Century French Henri II Walnut Trumeau combines art with a generously sized mirror to perform three functions ~ deference to one's ancestor, reflection of ambient light, and the magnificent beauty of hand-carved French Walnut in the Neoclassical Architecture of the Henri II Style, also referred to as the High Renaissance.  The intriguing relief carving depicts a cornucopia form atop a sinuous foliate spray, with fine molding appearing throughout the entire piece.
