Pair of 19th Century French Napoleon III Period Bronze & Brass Urns represent the mastery of metal sculpture exhibited by the French during this wonderful era and are of a nice size and weight to add a great symmetrical accent to your decor.  The brass bodies are exquisitely embossed with a stylized Renaissance-inspired motif that works well with the classical architecture of the design.  Heraldic crests and falcon's heads were cast in bronze and used as mounts, with rings in the bird's beaks to serve as handles.  The beautiful bases transition via several forms to finally flare out with a petal motif onto the beveled black marble bases, providing both elegance and weight to the bottom for sublime stability.  Heavy enough to serve as bookends, they can provide a decorative accent to any display.
