18th Century Rustic Dutch Cupboard ~ Raised Cabinet was created by able rural artisans for a distinct purpose, and designed with a charming lack of fancy adornment making it ideal for today's casual decors.  Intended as a repository for pots, pans and other kitchen utensils, it was fitted with simple swivel latches and brass ring pulls as lockworks were unnecessary.  Sold plank sides and cross pieces in front combine with the plank back to create a very sturdy housing, with just a tailored crown molding along the top for a modicum of style.  Door panels are each one piece of wood with a simply molded framework, and open to reveal shelved storage above, complemented by the two open shelves below.  Literally designed to be used daily for centuries, it will add a charming rural touch to any room.
