19th Century Dutch Rosewood Document Cabinet is a truly unique find!  Created by master artisans from rare, exotic imported rosewood from the Americas, it was designed to keep important documents organized yet easily accessible. Originally designed for five slide out surfaces inside, of which two original shelves remain, it also features a pull out examination surface for additional convenience.  The entire exterior glows with the amazing natural beauty of the wood in its natural coloration, with only a wax finish, no stain!  The top consists of solid rosewood planks, with a finely edged trim above the upper tier that contains the aforementioned pull out examination surfac3e accessed with a turned knob and flanked by carved lions' heads on each corner.  The sides below, as well as each door panel are fitted with pyramidal decorations surrounded by carved leaf bordering.  The doors also feature carved fruit, or della robia, motifs in relief on the very front.  A tailored base with pyramidal corner accents appears under the cabinet with four bun feet to complete the look.
