19th Century French Walnut Neoclassical Petit File Cabinet is truly an unusual find!  Appearing to be, at first glance, a large nightstand, it is in fact much larger at typical buffet height, and features a single exterior drawer above a cabinet that opens to reveal four pull-out open face interior drawers.  Perfect for storing paperwork and filing, it does so with inimitable style!  The sumptuous French walnut has been crafted with a double pilaster design down the front with pyramidal plinths, tapered and fluted motifs, with louvered carvings above scrollwork just above the lower plinth.  The door features three finely molded panels, and the door and drawer are accentuated by exquisitely cast bronze key guards with an integral bale pull for the latter.  Bun feet provide support.
