Antique File Card Cabinet with Tambour Door recalls the days prior to computers, when index cards held a wealth of information, used in just about every office, library, school and institution.  This clever cabinet was constructed entirely of oak, and conceals no less than 24 file drawers, each capable of holding hundreds of cards, all of which can be easily locked behind the roll-up tambour door which presents a clean facade for the room while providing a modicum of security.  The frame and panel construction is evident all around, even the back side, with a generous and convenient surface at just the right height to rest a drawer while using it, if so inclined.  Set up on a platform base, it was also fitted with cup style pulls and a fancy key guard at the bottom lip of the tambour door, as well as pulls with framed tab slots on each of the two dozen drawers so that each could be readily organized and identified.  In the current parlance, it's like a Rol-O-Dex on steroids!
