Antique French Gothic Revival Dry Bar ~ Raised Cabinet in Stripped Oak combines extraordinarily sturdy architecture with geometrically-inspired carved detail inspired by the Gothic style with origins in the 12th century! The design includes sturdy solid oak planks on top transitioning to the massive corner posts which flank the four recessed side panels on each side, and the front facade which consists of a bottom-hinged drop-down top cabinet door, and two conventional cabinet doors underneath that. Although the lower cabinets are adorned with interesting linen fold carving, the upper cabinet ha an amazing display of sculpture with all the hallmarks of the Gothic Revival in three segments framed by half-round carved columns. Additional embellishment is provided by the intricately cast strap hinges on the doors below, and the amazingly detailed lock plate on the upper cabinet. Both the upper and lower cabinets have a single shelf for two surfaces each, while the extra-stout upper door lowers to the horizontal position creating a serving surface supported by the hinges in back and two chains on either side. Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
