Pair 19th Century Flemish Renaissance Raised Cabinets ~ Buffets are unusual to find as an intact pair, making this choice ideal for creating symmetry in any room, or providing pieces that can be placed in adjacent rooms to create continuity.  Hand-crafted from solid oak, each features a plank top with bold molding overlooking a sturdy casework framed by cornerposts that feature lions' heads in bold full relief, holding brass rings in their mouths, and overlooking lords and cherubs in a corbel form, with quatrefoil overlay and lions' paw feet just above the lower shelf.  The lower shelf is faced with a variant of Greek coin flanked by pyramidal plinth blocks, and finished off with multiple tiers of bold base molding.  The cabinet doors, however, create the main visual attraction, with geometrically designed raised rosettes framed by an interesting rosette border.  Doors open wide to reveal surprising storage within.  Both are the perfect height to create a platform for a big flat panel TV, as well!
