18th Century Rustic Spanish Walnut Console ~ Sofa Table

18th Century Rustic Spanish Walnut Console ~ Sofa Table is a splendid reminder of a bygone era!  Hand-crafted from old growth walnut, it features a single thick plank of solid walnut serving as the top surface.  A casework that contains three drawers is dovetailed into the bottom of the surface with decorative carvings as embellishments in a corbel fashion.  In between the corbels appear the three spacious drawers, each lavished with a brace of boldly carved square rosettes centered with a wrought iron pendant pull.  Support is provided by four finely turned column legs set at angles for maximum stability, with each leg connected at the base all around with stretchers for additional stability.  The corbel design is repeated on the "back" side which is fully finished, making this a good choice even in front of a window.  Designed literally to last for centuries!
