19th Century Barley Twist Sofa Table ~ Console was designed for as a hall table, but works in today's decor behind the sofa just as well!  Clockwise and counter-clockwise barley twist columns in pairs support each side, resting on carved transverse feet, and connected by a single stretcher that features barley twist in both directions, changing at the center.  The classically contoured and beveled top provides a nice-sized surface for a piece barely a foot in depth.  Hand-crafted entirely from solid oak, it was designed to last for generations!
