19th Century French Louis XV Walnut End Table ~ Center Table was lavishly sculpted by a talented artist from sumptuous French walnut, easily the finest furniture wood on the Continent for centuries!  The violin shaped top with beveled edge sits over the undulating form of the apron, which is carved on all four sides to make this a good choice for center placement in the room.  Carved detail on the apron includes asymmetrical foliate and floral motifs, complemented by the rich carvings on the shoulders of the graceful cabriole legs, which terminate in an uplifted acanthus plume.  All the carvings are sculpted in rich full relief creating a work of art that can also serve as a splendid choice for a table anywhere in the home!
