19th Century French Napoleon III Period Mahogany Marble Top Center Table was designed to impress all who enter the home.  Hand-crafted from exotic imported mahogany, it features a bold pedestal carved with acanthus plumes supported by four boldly scrolled legs carved with more acanthus plumes and lion's paw feet, set on brass casters.  The tailored apron leads the eye to the solid marble top, selected for its intriguing veining and wonderfully neutral color, then beveled and "finger grooved" around the entire perimeter, a practice designed to corral errant water from pots and vases filled with fresh flowers.  Doubles as a great game table, with its forgiving stone surface, perfect for entertaining!
