19th Century French Renaissance Barley Twist Sofa Table is an excellent choice for versatility, functionality and timeless Old World style!  Hand-crafted from solid old-growth oak, it features a plank top edged with both cove and half-bullnose beveling, overlooking the apron carved on all four sides with an elongated, repeating egg pattern accentuated with acanthus leaves carved on each corner and midway along each of the four sides.  Support is provided by clockwise & counter-clockwise barley twist columns, connected below at plinth blocks adorned with acanthus rosettes, with yet another full width barley twist stretcher connecting the four legs for added strength and beauty.  Although its entirety is adorned making it perfect for center of the room placement, it is also ideal for behind the sofa, along a hallway, on a stairwell landing, or used as a console in any entryway or passageway!
