19th Century French Renaissance Sofa Table

19th Century French Renaissance Sofa Table is an unusual design, indeed!  Embellished and carved around all four sides, it features a beautifully sculpted apron which conceals two drawers on both short ends!  A drapery edging finishes out the apron which is supported by four legs carved with bold urn motifs, then turned towards the lower end into plinth blocks which serve as joints for the modified "H" stretcher, curved on the short ends and fitted with turned finials.  Bun feet provide support.  Great as a credenza, a hall table, a console, or behind the sofa!
