19th Century French Louis XVI China Buffet is a magnificent work of the cabinetmaker's art ~ designed to store, display and serve all with one piece!  The arched crown overlooks a classical architecture that includes two upper side cabinets, a center glazed cabinet and open serving area atop the surface which is atop the lower three-door cabinet fitted with two centered drawers.  Carved embellishment includes beaded and finely detailed molding, ribbon, foliates, laurel garlands, olive branches, bell flowers and more.  The most intricate carving is on the center cabinet below, flanked by two exquisitely carved cabinets depicting shallow urns bursting with flowers.  Two cutlery drawers on the top tier, plus the aforementioned linen drawers below are fitted with cast bronze ring pulls.  Tapered and fluted legs provide support, while the upper tier excels in display with a generously sized beveled glass and interior glass shelf positioned above the serving area fitted with a backsplash mirror to reflect ambient light.
