Antique French Louis XV Walnut China Buffet

Antique French Louis XV Walnut China Buffet is a stunning work of the cabinetmaker's art, designed to perform three distinct functions in style!  The upper tier features a center glazed door with 12 panes so that one can display one's finest heirlooms and collectibles, enhanced by a mirrored interior backing.  At the center is a generous serving surface that can be used for display as well.  The three door cabinet below provides copious storage with flair!  Hand-crafted from fine French walnut, its design includes an arched stepped-up center section above the glazed door carved with stylized shell and foliates.  French scroll forms emanate across the crown, enhanced by the applique carvings  of foliates on the door panels that flank the center glazed door.  A three-panel backsplash keeps things in place while providing support, aided by a pair of cabriole legs in front that allow one to use the serving surface virtually unencumbered.  Three drawers appear immediately below, accessed with finely detailed brass pulls, and under that the three aforementioned cabinets, also adorned with stylized Rococo-inspired applique carvings.  The apron and legs that provide support have been scrolled & carved to complement the piece.  Cast brass key guards and hinges complete the look.
