18th Century Rustic Country French Coffee Table

18th Century Rustic Country French Coffee Table was hand-crafted by capable rural artisans using what we consider today to be primitive tools, yet the result is an exceptionally sturdy table that has already lasted over 200 years and will easily last another 200!  The top consists of a single large plank of old-growth oak surrounded by a framework of smaller oak planks.  The casework encloses two capacious drawers, also crafted to last for centuries, with each fitted with a shield style steel key guard and turned knob.  A tailored molding trim delineates the bottom of the shallow casework, with the four cornerposts that extend from the underside of the aforementioned plank top all the way to the floor.  Seeing the quality of the wood and the time-honored techniques used to create this table, it's easy to predict that it will still be in faithful service into the year 2300 and beyond!
