19th Century French Renaissance Revival Carved Oval Coffee Table has been painstakingly stripped by our expert in-house staff using our proprietary method that retains the natural beauty and patina of the ancient wood.  The oval top ensures plenty of surface area while still presenting no corners whatsoever into the floor plan or traffic pattern of the room.  The edge of the solid plank top is also hand-carved with a gadrooned motif accented with acanthus plumes, over a tailored, simply molded apron.  The real artistry appears in the massive column pedestal below, mounted with four elaborately scrolled and sculpted legs.  Motifs represented include acanthus plumes, rosettes, stylized Greek coin, lions' paw feet and lions' heads spewing forth a cornucopia of fruit and foliage in a celebration of nature and life itself, all rendered by the artistic hands of a talented sculptor.
