19th Century Rustic Dutch Coffee Table is a superb example of rural artisanry!  Utilizing old-growth oak planks, the artisans used time honored techniques like mortise & tenon joinery.  The subtly contoured leg supports on each side are firmly affixed to double crossbars on the bottom of the plank top, then connected with a scrolled stretcher, and finally joined to the leg structures below which are further reinforced with twin stretchers!
